One of the biggest and most prestigious Toronto music festivals, Canada Music Week is just around the corner. It takes place across the city from March 9th to 13th. I have got my wristband and I am pumped for the 5 day music fete! The next step to be ready for the festival is to search for as many great bands as possible in advance to get the most out of your wristband. (It costs $75 plus tax... so you don't want to waste it, right?)
I will introduce as many bands as possible on my blog to help you plan your nights.
My first pick is The Balconies. If you like Toronto pop rock bands such as Whale Tooth and the Golden Dogs, then this band is the next one to check out. The opportunity to see the three-piece band from Ottawa is too good to pass up. Their tunes tantalize and electrify listeners to tap their toes and swing their hips. Jacquie Nevile's smooth voice and jangling guitar riffs flow alongside Liam Jaeger's jaunty drum beats, and Stephan Neviles' melodic bass.
The trio will be performing on Saturday March 12th at Lee's Palace. Rumor has it they will play at Sonic Boom during the week as well.
Check out their song, "Serious Bedtime"
