The former bassist of the legendary Guns N Roses - Duff McKagan - released a new album the Taking with his new band Loaded last week. (In Loaded, McKagan sings and plays rhythm guitar.)This album has a strong punk influence - high energy, uplifting hooks and grungy riffs from the top to the end. It reminds me of good old 90's rock. However, if you compare it with his previous bands - GNR and Velvet Revolver - this album does not live up to some expectations - some people might say it lacks originality. This record will not wow you in terms of their song writing. BUT if you are looking for another album of alluring heavy rock, then this album is still something that is easy to enjoy!
